SENDT
Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
SENDT is committed to protecting your personal data and being transparent about how we use it. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are. It applies to all users of SENDT, including visitors to sendt.org.uk and users of the SENDT app.
If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at hello@sendt.org.uk.
1. Who We Are
SENDT is operated by Melanie Badcock, trading as SENDT, based in the United Kingdom.
For the purposes of UK GDPR, we are the data controller for personal data collected through sendt.org.uk and the SENDT app.
Contact: hello@sendt.org.uk
2. What Data We Collect
Account holders (paid subscribers)
If you create an account or purchase a subscription, we collect:
-
Your name
-
Your email address
-
Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your card details
Free users
The SENDT free tier does not require an account. We do not collect any personal data from free users unless you contact us directly.
Contact form
If you use the contact form on sendt.org.uk, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. This is submitted through Wix's built-in form system.
Website analytics
Our website is hosted on Wix, which collects anonymised data about how visitors use the site — including pages visited, traffic sources, and general location (country level). This is collected through Wix Analytics and helps us understand how the site is being used. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
Pupil data
SENDT does not collect or store any pupil data. You never enter a pupil's name, details, or personal information into SENDT. Targets include a [Pupil name] placeholder. You add the pupil's actual name or initials yourself when you paste the target into your own planning document — it is never entered into SENDT.
Once a target is copied into your own planning documents or school systems, any pupil data you add is held and managed under your school's own data protection policies, not ours.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:
-
To manage your account and provide access to the SENDT service
-
To process your subscription payment through Stripe
-
To send you service-related communications, including purchase confirmations and renewal reminders
-
To respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form
-
To send occasional updates about SENDT — for example, new targets or features. You can opt out of these at any time
-
To understand how the website is being used, through anonymised analytics
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Under UK GDPR, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
-
Contract — processing your name and email address is necessary to manage your subscription and provide access to the service
-
Legitimate interests — we use anonymised analytics data to improve the service; this does not affect your rights or freedoms
-
Consent — where we send marketing or product update emails, we rely on your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email, or by contacting us at hello@sendt.org.uk
5. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the third-party services listed below, which help us operate SENDT:
-
Stripe — payment processing. Your payment details are handled directly by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's own privacy policy
-
Wix — our website is hosted on Wix, which processes data submitted through contact forms and collects anonymised analytics
-
Cloudflare — the SENDT app is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic server log data in connection with delivering the service
-
Zoho Mail — we use Zoho Mail to send and receive emails, including service communications
All third-party providers are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection law.
6. Cookies
SENDT uses only essential cookies required for the service to function. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
Essential cookies do not collect any personal data and do not require your consent. You can manage cookie settings through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may affect how the site works.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or cancel your subscription, we will retain your data for up to 12 months, after which it will be deleted.
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry, and no longer than 12 months.
8. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely within the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.
9. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:
-
Right of access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
-
Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
-
Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data, subject to any legal obligations
-
Right to restriction — you can ask us to limit how we use your data
-
Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests
-
Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, such as marketing emails, you can withdraw at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@sendt.org.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at sendt.org.uk/privacy. Continued use of SENDT after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
